Eric Paltell, Darrell VanDeusen, Frank Kollman, and Pete Saucier were named four of Maryland's "Super Lawyers" in the January 2009 edition of Baltimore Magazine. Frank, Pete and Eric were included in the category of "Employment and Labor;" Darrell was listed in the category of "Employment Litigation: Defense."

In Septemeber, Darrell VanDeusen spoke at the University Risk Management Insurance Association's (URMIA) national convention in Washington, D.C., on Developments in Retaliation Law and in Dallas at The Epilepsy Foundation's national leadership conference on Employment Law Developments. Darrell will also speak this fall to the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association (MTLA) and the Maryland Emloyment Lawyers Association (MELA), and at the Maryland State Bar Association's Small Firm and Solo Practice seminar, on various labor and employment law issues of interest to Maryland lawyers.

Eric Paltell has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, Central Maryland Chapter.

Frank Kollman spoke at the 36th annual convention of the Steel Erectors Association of America in San Antonio, Texas. Earlier this year, Frank spoke to the Association about training supervisors in Myrtle Beach, the site of its 35th convention. Frank will talk next year on labor, OSHA, and immigration issues.
